    2. Describe your race day.

I loved how beautiful the race was. It was very well organized, and almost all the logistics were in order. I just had a lot of fun and will be back!
I thought that having some heaters at the start would have been a really good idea.
The post race treats needs some SERIOUS improvement. Although overall it was ok, some chocolate milk helps recover so much and not having it was very disappointment. Also, some ice cream sandwiches are really nice at the end of a race, just saying.

    3. Did you PR?

No, but that is ok. I didn't try. This race was about helping my wife to PR, which she did!

    4. How would you describe the course?

I didn't plan on any hills, so that caught me off guard a little, but they were not too bad. Down hill was good, not too steep.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Just lots of running and some downhill training.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Don't leave off the uphill training it will help! Bring some warm clothes that you are ok with not getting back so you can ditch on the way.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Great experience, great race, with some great friends. Can't wait until next year.

    2. Did you PR?

It was my first half marathon, so it was definitely my PR! :)

    3. How would you describe the course?

Scenery was beautiful. But the grade was steeper than I thought. My knees are sore this morning. I loved the Revel signs posted throughout the course!

    2. Did you PR?

I did PR by 26 minutes.

    3. How would you describe the course?

It's a great fast course, however the 2nd half of it really gets you with those rolling hills.

    2. Describe your race day.

All of the aid stations especially my fellow Pasadena Pacers! The less is great except for mile 15-16 and 19-20. Challenging but I finished! 3:46:12

    3. Did you PR?

I would have, if I had not stopped at the porta potty at mile 19 :( 13 second off of my PR. My BQ time is 3:40, so maybe I'll get it next year!

    4. Tell us about your training.

I train without Pasadena Pacers. This was my 4th marathon this year. Always training!

    2. Describe your race day.

I like that it was a small, well-organized race.

There should be lighting at the start areas (sitting in the cold and dark for 90 minutes is no fun). Also If you're going to make announcements you need a better and more widespread sound system. I over heard that the starting line banner was stolen overnight - but the start of the race seemed a little odd. If I hadn't seen people start to run I would have never known it happened.

    3. Did you PR?

No (sad face). Running a lot of downhill is more taxing to your legs than people expect. I knew it - I just wasn't trained up for it.

    4. How would you describe the course?

I switched from the full to the half - so I don't know about the first 13 miles...The course is very pretty and serene. Once the sun came up and lit up the canyon it was beautiful. The hills were more challenging than I expected.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I live at the beach so finding hills to train on is tough. Whether it was the cold, poor training or starting out too fast - I found it tough to find my stride until about halfway through.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

-It was COLD waiting for the race to start. C O L D! Thankfully I had extra layers, a blanket, plus the gloves and space sheet that were in our swag bag. Bring a headlamp. And pack more warm, disposable clothing than you think you need.
-Train for hills. Really TRAIN for hills.
-If you're not used to running in cold weather it does make it tough when the race first starts. As soon as the sun comes up you'll be fine. Start slow and acclimate.
-If you need cheering crowds, this is not your race. If you like calm and quiet you'll do great.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Although I live fairly close (Long Beach), I stayed at one of the host hotels. Makes it a lot easier to wake up knowing you only have to drive 10 miles.

    2. Describe your race day.

Awesome bus ride up the canyon, friendly crowd. The only let down was people started moving slowly, and everyone around me were looked confused, like is it starting or what is going on?. No National Anthem, no starting gun or warning of any kind, kind of a let down among the crowd I was waiting with.

    3. Did you PR?

yes, 7 minutes faster than last year

    4. How would you describe the course?

      Perfect!

    5. Tell us about your training.

not too much, I just do some short down hill runs and more indoor training this year to build leg strength and to save myself for the down hill run.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

      Enjoy the down hill coast!

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

      Breakfast

    2. Describe your race day.

Great experience, Parking and shuttles were flawless. Communication at the start line was awesome. Aid stations, Volunteers and all the organization were great. Finish line party was awesome. Can't wait to do it next year!

    3. Did you PR?

I injured during my training, so I didn't get my PR.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Peaceful, great views. Once you crossed the start line, the runners spread out quickly and it felt like you were just doing a run through nature... with plenty of great scenery to watch as you make your way down the mountain.

    2. Describe your race day.

Great atmosphere. The course was really beauitful

    3. Did you PR?

First marathon and it was painful

    4. How would you describe the course?

Downhill. Very scenic and totally beautiful

    5. Tell us about your training.

Trainee for only 2.5 months for this race. Looking back it was not enough time. I hit a wall around mile 17. I would tell others to give yourself plenty of time to train for a marathon

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Train early. Eat lots of carbs the days leading. Make sure you have a great pair of shoes. Wear lots of sunscreen!

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I liked the post race atmosphere. The beer was great but you guys need to make sure you dont run out of food for the slow people!!

    2. Describe your race day.

Was very happy to see the Tour Buses at the start to take us up the mountain. Start location was great with lots of water and supplements. Thank you for the mylar blankets as they came in handy with the cold weather. The first half was fast and the second half was challenging. The volunteers were fabulous especially at the finish. Thank you

    3. Did you PR?

Did not PR. Was a Boston qualifier.

    4. How would you describe the course?

The course was technical. Having done the Denver Rockies Revel this last July, I did hold back some in the first half. The scenery was beautiful. The weather got hot.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I train in Austin, Texas where we do have small hills to train on.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

      Lots of down hill training.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Did not take advantage of any attractions this trip.
