    1. Describe your race day.

Love the gloves and the mylar blanket. What a cool thing to do as it was a bit chilly waiting around at the top. Very cool and much appreciated! All of your volunteers on the course were very great, happy, helpful and having a good time!

    2. How would you describe the course?

Tough. The first 1/2 of the marathon is all down hill, except with a small hill at mile 2, then the second 13.1 miles is rolling with several hills going up. I was not aware of how much up hill there was going to be in the second half of the race.

    2. Describe your race day.

Weird at the start with out a bell ringing or revel banner signage and no national anthem......but race day was beautiful. This event just like last year's was well organized and had plenty of volunteers, aid stations, supplies, etc. The 1:40 1/2 marathon pacer was the best. He didn't only pace, he coached me from mile 6 to the finish. Great advice on when to get water, when to slow my pace, when to pick it up. How to run up the hills without over exerting myself. Finish line is very well organized and well stocked with nutrition. My 2nd time on this course and my 4th Revel event.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes, I set a new PR and won the female age group 45-49. I PR'd by about 2.5 minutes. I didn't qualify for Boston because I only ran the half. I love the half. I ran Revel Cottonwood full. It was my first full ever. I will go back and run a Revel full, but I reiterate, I love your half courses. I am not a marathon fan, but I'd like to qualify for Boston.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Revel Canyon City's first 4 to 5 miles is tough because there are rolling hills in it and I am not a hill runner at all. The scenery is beautiful. Elevation is great compared to Rockies and Cottownwood.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I didn't train as much after Revel Cottonwood on September 12th due to injury and pain in hip and groin area. Sought treatment for it and ran as much as possible. For the half, I will rarely run further than 9 miles in training. The last two weeks were really relaxed for me. I ran only twice in the week preceding the race. One 6.2 mile run on a treadmill and one 5 mile run on a treadmill. The week before that, I ran outside 5 miles, 4 miles, 9 miles. But I run several half marathons throughout the year, but my best performances are at Revel.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Train, hydrate, and fuel properly. Just because the courses are downhill doesn't mean they are an easy feat. There are still hills. The downhill is great and you can cruise. But the last 3 miles start at the bottom of the canyon and go through the city. Flat and challenging after running downhill.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I hung around after the race and ate a little pie, chips, and a bagel. Took pictures with my 3 medals. Finisher medal, age group medal (1st place), and series completion medal. Stayed at the finish long enough to see marathoners coming in.

I love the Revel Race Series. Canyon City for some reason is my favorite. I've run it both years. I love Revel Rockies as well. I'm not as much in love with Revel Cottonwood as I am the other two course. You provide a great product. It is a great value for the money paid. Other organizations could learn something from Revel. I will most likely run all 3 in 2016. Halfs for 2 and 1 full.

No, but a personal level of achievement.

    4. How would you describe the course?

      Beautiful!!

    5. Tell us about your training.

I have been running on my own here and there with a few 5k and 10K, never a half marathon. But I've been Hiking for Two years with High altitudes all highest peaks in So Cal that helped.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Dress in layers it's cold at the start line.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

We celebrated at Max's Mexican Restaurant in Azusa, it was great.

      practice down hill interval training.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

The only thing I would see if you could change is the bus ride up was pretty scary. Not sure how it could be done, but not have the cones in the way of the bus as our driver had to dodge. Also the police were escorting cars up the hill. I witness a vehicle hit a cone, the cone flew out from under the car and almost hit a runner. Otherwise, I had a great time and thought everyone did a great job.

    2. Describe your race day.

Expo was small and quiet, Parking was very convenient and free. Start area was very good, lots of porta potties. Finish line was great. Volunteers and support rocked! Over all very good organized.

    3. Did you PR?

      Yes. BQ.

    4. How would you describe the course?

First 14 mile was great. Then surprised for about 4-5 miles with the rolling hills. Pace dropped from 7:50's to 10:00s but I pulled it off.

    5. What advice would you give future runners?

Just be aware that it is not entirely downhill some though hills on the way.

    2. Describe your race day.

What a perfect race. The day started nice and cool but the race supplied plenty of mylar blankets and gloves to keep warm. There was even a fire pit! And the scenery! I was lucky enough to hear and spot a hawk soaring along with us.

    3. Did you PR?

      I PR'd by 15 minutes over a downhill course I did 2 months earlier :-)

    4. What advice would you give future runners?

Watch those downhill splits. So many people went out way too fast.

    2. Describe your race day.

This race was amazing! From the beautiful views, fast course, and superb organization/volunteers, everything was awesome! I'll be back!

    3. Did you PR?

YES!!! Big time! I knocked 50 minutes off my PR and broke the 4 hour mark.

    4. How would you describe the course?

The first half is super fast - I just let my feet fly and then slowed down for the second half. I did exactly as I planned. I got to see the beautiful scenery, the sky couldn't have been any clearer or bluer. Superb day all round!

    5. Tell us about your training.

I run regularly with A Snail's Pace Running Club. We went up the mountain and ran the actual route as part of our training so we would know what to expect on race day. It was a really good idea to do that because I knew when the uphills were coming!

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

I usually wear a running show that is bigger than my normal shoe size, but this was a bad idea for this race. The downhill slamming caused my feet to move too much in my shoe and gave me blisters, and I've never had a problem with that before.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I travelled from La Habra on the morning of the race. I travelled with a group from my running club and we had a fun time hanging out at the top of the mountain. The time went pretty fast and we were on our way before we knew it.
After the race, we drank the free beer, of course!!!! :)
