    2. Describe your race day.

We had a great day! Heat stayed away and the volunteer support was awesome

    3. Did you PR?

      No

    4. How would you describe the course?

Beautiful but challenging. I live at sea level with no downhills

    5. Tell us about your training.

      I'm running the 50 states so with a 10-12 marathons a year I don't have a traditional training plan

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Find significant hills and train on them

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Went to red rocks and had a great meal down town Denver at La Loma

    2. Describe your race day.

My first marathon so very nervous. Perfect weather and very nicely organized pre-race stuff

    3. Did you PR?

Wasn't going for PR but just wanted to finish....again, my first

    4. How would you describe the course?

Excellent scenery, etc -- but the downhill was tough for me to train for. I live in Denver so could only fit flat runs into my training routine

    5. Tell us about your training.

I should have reached out to others who have run downhill to decide if I was able to fit into my training. Having 3 kids limits when I can train.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Be ready for downhill. My hamstrings tightened up early so changed my form drastically. Also, shoe tightness was important going downhill

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

From Denver; had lunch afterwards in Morrison

I understand that all races have their time limit. Finishing the race unsupported (i.e. course was opened to cars) was very unnerving as much of the last 5mi had no shoulder. No idea how I could have planned for this...and it's really no ones fault

    2. Describe your race day.

It was such a fun race! My favorite memory was just running in the beautiful scenery and my body feeling so good with the abundance of water, power aide, and gel as I ran the nice gradual downhill course! It was wonderful and my best feeling run of my training.

    3. Did you PR?

This was my first half marathon so by default I was always going to PR. I did have a negative spilt which is great and it was lower than any of my training times by :40 seconds/minute.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Stunning! It was so great! The rolling hills the first mile were nice and set me up for a good place so I didn't blow out doing all downhill. The rest was so nice with the downhill. Several times I felt like I was just gliding along because of the ease of it!

    5. Tell us about your training.

I used My ASICS running ap and started training in March. Prior to that I would barely run a mile on the treadmill. The ap was great and made me feel so prepared for the race. Especially because it trains you to start slow and finish fast, so you don't blow out. I highly recommend it!

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Dress warm for the start! We got up to the start line an hour before the race via the shuttle and it was cold! I wished I had put sweat pants over my running shorts to keep my legs warm until the start.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

We drove the course the night before and it was beautiful! After the race we ate brunch downtown Morrison which was nice!

    2. Describe your race day.

The early start time caused very little rest the night before the race. Most runners were 'ragged out' waiting for the start.

    3. Did you PR?

      No

    4. How would you describe the course?

'Tough' with the extreme camber. Scenery was very pleasant. I live in Dallas and the elevation 'bothered' me a little until the half way mark.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I run six days a week and go to spin class at my club two to three times weekly.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Drive the course before the race to understand the camber and elevation.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I visit Denver frequently seeing family and friends.

EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful! Great race, considering Utah now!

    3. Did you PR?

      No

    4. How would you describe the course?

Great course! Couldn't be more beautiful.

    5. Tell us about your training.

A lot of squats lunges and hill running. We even ran Mount Scott in Oklahoma.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Save for the rolling hills in the middle

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Traveled from Oklahoma! Pressed for time so we didn't get a chance to do much. Golden, CO was great and the scenery was amazing.

    2. Describe your race day.

Woke up early to be on the first half marathon bus...because it's tradition! Chatted with a bunch of other runners and there we were at the start line! What a beautiful morning! Ran an excellent race with friendly, cheerful volunteers and had a great finish line celebration. Then I went to work. Not as fun but not your fault! The revel was the highlight of my week!

    3. Did you PR?

Not this time. I did when I ran it the first year...or maybe the second...one or the other!

    4. How would you describe the course?

      Beautiful! Breathtaking! Fast!

    5. Tell us about your training.

Pretty much just rolled out of bed and showed up for the race. Hence no pr. Work schedule has been brutal.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Run the revel!! Just do it! You won't regret it!

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Work. Work. Work. But I showed my staff my medal and boy were they jealous!!! So showing off my medal was fun. But if I had a choice I'd go to the zoo and see the giraffes!

    2. Describe your race day.

Loved it. Course was well thought out, well staffed and beautiful. The legacy bibs were a nice touch.

    3. Did you PR?

YES close to 8 minutes faster than last year

    4. How would you describe the course?

My favorite course of my running calendar

    5. Tell us about your training.

Next year going g to use compression socks to help with end of race calf cramps

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Don't go too fast at the beginning. So easy to over race those first downhills.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Had a full day so it was done and gone but it looked like fun

    2. Describe your race day.

Left the house at 4am and arrived at 4:25am to get on a bus. Great seeing so many buses ready to go! Enjoyed the scenic course and the pizza and pie afterwards. Everything was great except for the porta potty situation. The layout confused people and was not efficient. If they were all situated on the edge like last year more people could have gotten in and out quicker in my opinion. The huge line that formed was unfortunate.

    3. Did you PR?

      No

    4. How would you describe the course?

For the most part awesome. I didn't like the uphill parts, but then again I don't like any hills! :-)

    5. Tell us about your training.

Did not do enough. Only ran on weekends and did not do very many long runs which hurt me.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Bring a warm coat to put in your gear bag because it is cold at the top.
