    2. Describe your race day.

I BQ'd. I love the beautiful course! The mountains are covered in beautiful fall colors. Volunteers were fantastic. Race organization was fantastic. Packet pickup was organized. This was my 108th marathon and the Big Cottonwood marathons is a favorite!

    3. Did you PR?

I didn't PR. Cause I'm old and getting slower but the course is fast and I BQ'd

    4. How would you describe the course?

Fast! Beautiful mountain scenery with gorgeous fall colors.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I did a lot of speed and hill training. DON'T give it all away in the first 18 and you will be happy with your time.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Dress extra warm for the wait at the marathon start. Don't worry about how many clothes you take you can put them in your drop bag.

    2. Describe your race day.

I truly enjoyed the race if the loop could have been shorter or not run people are hitting the wall
It would be better the canyon is beautiful and the
The volunteer 's were wonderful I guess I loved the 1st 20 miles and would like the final 10k to change I was not comfortable running down ft union Blvd it made me nervous to be in the middle of all the cars

    3. Did you PR?

      My 1st marathon so yes

    4. How would you describe the course?

As stated earlier the 1st 20.miles were great canyon is beautiful colder than I would have guessed I wore my jacket until mile 17 I think

    5. Tell us about your training.

I ran the revel.half in Morrison in June and began serious training about 1 1/2 weeks later I would have liked to do more long runs and it was difficult to safely train for so much downhill

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Dress warmly practice down hill but add uphill.to.the end of long runsi

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I just sat and talked with friends before race I didn't do much after race but they said they were leaving as I went over there but then it appeared that tthey stayed

    2. Describe your race day.

This was my first experience with a Revel race. It was not my first experience with the marathon/half marathon distance and man am I impressed! Well organized, great swag, friendly people everywhere, frequent and efficient aid stations, amazing scenery, and awesome bib transfer/withdrawal options on registration. Thank you for a wonderful experience, you definitely stand out in the race business and this customer can't wait to be a "repeat."

    3. Did you PR?

      Yes. 38 min improvement.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Scenic and fun. There was some aggressive downhill, but it was manageable for moderate/average runners. The start is cold, but I felt the race organizers were helpful in managing participants expectations and providing blankets, hats, and gloves.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Working up to a 10 mile distance left me feeling prepared and confident in my abilities. I would get a couple of canyon runs in next time if possible, but do not feel they are that big of a game changer. I would encourage racers to cross-train for this race, building leg/core strength, strong joints, and mobile connective tissue will make this run a better experience for everyone.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

My only advice would be for runners to expect the cold start. Also, if you have a hot spot, even a minor one, make sure you take preventative measures to avoid blisters.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

      Nap. Eat. :)

    2. Describe your race day.

The majority of the race in the canyon was amazing and I felt wonderful, after exiting the canyon though I felt that the course had more to be desired, having that hill at mile 24 was THE WORST especially after the multiple mile flat section, if there was anyway to do that hill before a detour that would have saved my legs and multiple others a ton!

    3. Did you PR?

This was my first marathon so I did PR

    4. How would you describe the course?

Very difficult.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Trained on hills 3x a week, but unfortunately did not run further than 10 miles before the marathon...my bad

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Train, train, train for hills and condition your legs! Being warm clothes for the start so you don't freeze to death. Wear shoes 1/2 size larger than you normally wear to save room for your toes on a predominantly downhill course

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

We live here, so we went home and toak a nice long bath

Fabulous organized race. The only thing that sucked was taking 40 minutes to get out of the parking lot. We could have used police there directing traffic.

    2. Describe your race day.

Great race! Plenty of aid stations, adequately staffed and really organized.

    3. Did you PR?

Yah. By 22 minutes. 4:14 was the previous PR, today was 3:52. No Boston this year, but next year I will try again.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Beautiful. Leaves changing, sun rising over the peaks. Absolutely stunning. Elevation made the uphill at Brighton pretty rough, but otherwise not a problem.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Standard marathon training, but I strength train 5 days a week. That is huge with the downhill.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Do it! Bring warm stuff at the start.
