Amazing race. Scorching fast course. PR by 10 minutes and qualified for Boston! Beautiful course and very well organized. Highly recommend it! One of the best marathons I have ran in, and this was 13 for me.
Yes, set a PR by 10 minutes. And I qualified for Boston by 8 minutes. First time qualifying for Boston in 13 marathons.
Very fast and forgiving. Lost my big right toenail it's so steep. Beautiful scenery. Perfect temperature.
Only drawback is that there are A LOT of half marathon walkers that you have to dodge starting at about mile 15.
Trained in high temperatures of Phx, AZ. Lots of flat running because that's all we have. But on the weekends I would go up and run down the hills on Usery Pass to get downhill training. Plus I did two weeks of Mountain running in WA Iin July with a ton of downhill.
Get downhill training in. Sorest muscles are not quads; it's my calves! They started getting sore around mile 7 and I was having to put Ben Gay on them every chance I got. Get good downhill training in.
Nothing. Only here for 24-hours for the race.

It is a beautiful course and professional race. I ran the half marathon last year and loved it so much that I signed up for it this year. I gave it a 4 because it felt like there was less at the Expo and finish line compared to last year. It was still very nice and I will probably do this race again next year. The medal was big and beautiful.
I did get a PR by 2 minutes.
It's beautiful and scenic. I love the downhill even if it doesn't like me. The last 3 miles are tough, especially being out of the canyon. It would be nice to have the finish closer to the mouth of the canyon and just start higher up.
This was my 4th half marathon of this year. I have actually been training to run my first full marathon so this was kind of a training run for me to get ready for my big race. I have had some professional coaching on my running form that I believe helped me become more efficient.
Wear layers of clothing that can be stripped off before the race. It can get very cold up the canyon. Practice with downhill before the race.
I came from Kaysville. I enjoyed spending a little time at the post race area while I recovered from my run .
Awesome, aid stations where they needed to by
45 mins
Beautiful
Have fun
Awesome Race. Best 1/2 marathon course ever! The weather was perfect. There was a nice tail wind the whole time. Just really loved this race.
No, but I came close. I definitely would have had I trained as well as I had planned to...
Beautiful. The leaves were already changing, which was awesome. It is downhill, the entire time. It's just spectacular.
Great time with a great group of people.
Yes
Didn't train enough. Hit the wall at mile 11
Train train train
We all live here
This was so greatly organized! definitely returning
Yes!!!! 45:22! Ha Boston..........maybe in a few years
Thank god the course changed this year! Seriously, so grateful for that
Hal Higdon....kind of. I'm a slacker. I did register for a few halves in the meantime and that helped
Downhill! EXTREME DOWNHILL, train for it. Do it.
Shopping!!!Came from Orem
This race from registration to the finish line is very organized. It started on time and each station was well staffed with awesome volunteers. The finish and street fair is by fair the best. Thanks to everyone that made this possible.
Yes.
Beautiful-fast. Big cottonwood canyon is one of Gods best creations.
Make sure you do plenty of down hill training. Even with proper training we will be sore for a few days.
Do it!! And enjoy.
Local. Draper area.
Thanks
Last year I ran Run Elevated 2:46, this year with Revel I did 2:17!!! Couldn't be happier
The course was beautiful and the canyon is simply stunning! Elevation was definitely challenging but totally worth it!
I did some trail running which definitely help. I also ran down millcreek while the upper roads were closed.
Fast (for me)
Yes by 5 minutes over another downhill course I ran this year.
Down hill. I loved having gravity on my side.
I have run several half marathons and 5 Ks this year. I haven't done as much training as I'd like due to injuries.
Practice on a steep downhill course. It's rough on the feet and I slightly sprained an ankle by the time I finished. Training specific to the course may help them avoid injury.
Slept in my van a block from the finish line the night before and I've never slept better on race night knowing I was already there and ready to go. I got more sleep than I've ever had prior to a big race. I came from Orem. Awesome race. Great support and volunteers. I'll be back next yer.One suggestion- Someone with a bullhorn at the start line area or an emcee to keep people posted about the race.
Sorry, already listed my one suggestion above. This is a great race. I was impressed.
Great day great weather fun race
no
Nice Downhill course! Beautiful scenery!
I was injured for some of the summer or I would have done better in the race
prepare for a lot of downhill running
