Scenery was fantastic. The miles out of he canyon are hard.
Didn't train as much as usual.
Nothing
Would love to see it start earlier and maybe further up the canyon

We were in the porta potties when the gun went off. Mainly because they are so far away which is a huge problem because no one comes over and informs the runners that the gun is about to go off and you can't hear anything because they are so far away. Two years in a row, I have not heard an announcement that the gun is about to go off. If you insist on keeping them so far away then you MUST have someone inform all those still using them! By the time we got to the start the race had already begun and my pacers were long gone.
Yes! I PR'd by almost two minutes.
LOVE the course! SO gorgeous and such a wonderfully fast course! STUNNING views! The volunteers are great! This is the most organized race I have run. The perks are great too.....i.e. space blankets, gloves, free photos, videos, etc. etc.
This was a training run for the St. George Marathon.
Dress warm at the start! It would be so nice if the water and Gatorade cups were only half full or even less. That would really help those of us that try to run while drinking...haha. And those that need more could take two cups. So many of us end up pouring out half so we can drink it.
Nothing. No time. Could you possibly make it so we could pick up our packets the morning of as well. It adds so much to the cost because we always have to get a hotel to stay the night. Otherwise I would just get up really early and drive in the morning. It's very inconvenient to not be able to get them in the a.m. like many other races allow.
This was my first big race and I was blown away with how well executed the entire event was!! I had more fun than I ever imagined I would and loved that you guys had everything prepared and covered anything I hadn't thought of!!
Absolutely perfect. This was my first time to run this course and I loved it! Very well organized race. Thank you!
No but I'm much older now and I won't ever run that fast again. However this was one of the best times I've ran in recent years! I qualified for Boston by 17 1/2 minutes!!
Great. All of it was good.
I felt undertrained but that might have worked out just fine for me because I had a great race.
The first 5 miles I could really feel the altitude--on any up hills. After that I was fine. I live at 2200 feet above sea level.
Stayed with family. I traveled here from St George.
I enjoyed the experience; while I was not as well prepared as I would have liked to be, the course was great; the organization was great. Congrats!
No, but that was my problem;
Beautiful;
I had come into this run with a hope of re-qualifying for Boston after a couple of injuries sidelined me this year. My ramp up was a little too steep; next time!
None that I can think of;
Just had a nice dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House; I really enjoyed driving the course on Friday.
Keep on doing what you're doing;

How many times do I have to leave a comment....And so on and so forthWhat a great day it is
The canyon and the weather were absolutely gorgeous. The race organization and support were fabulous.
No
I love the course. There are some steep downhill grades, but mostly pretty comfortable. The canyon is absolutely beautiful!
My training wasn't as good as it should have been due to some health issues. Stamina wasn't there
Do a lot of downhill training.
Not much -- too cold in the beginning and too tired at the end.
I'm local
This is one of my favorite events!
Well organized.
I had some GI trouble early on and would have loved to see more porta cans along the race course. Long lines. Aside from that it was a well organized, beautiful, fast and incredible difficult race. I set a 16 minute PR! Coulda been more had I not had 2 long waits to use the potty.
Yes! 16 minutes. I did not qualify. I'll be back for that!
Beautiful. Steep grades and a couple brutal climbs, mile 4&18. High elevation and thin air.
I trained in Houston, TX. I ran once a week on the downhill treadmill and regular runs out around town. Really glad I did that downhill running as it felt natural on the course. I should have done more uphill training. I'd vary the treadmill down hill runs with one or two uphill miles in between down miles.
Wear a trash bag to start. Train for steep downhills.
Hung out with my friend!
Amazing. My 15th marathon and it was the best one yet. I not only PR to, but I qualify for Boston. It was a great day!
Fast. The out and back at mile 18 was treacherous, but the overall race was fast and beautiful
Worked hard on strength conditioning
Train for downhill
Nothing. It was a less than 24 hour trip
Loved it! Epic day!
I really enjoy the course. That little up hill after mile 10 is a pretty good gut check, but overall is very good course.
It was great! The morning started or with a laugh. Two half marathoners got on our bus for the full :-) they were able to hop off and get to the right place but we all thought it was funny. I do wish the race started a little earlier
This was my PR for a marathon by almost 40minutes
More challenging than i thought it would be. My calfs cramped and I have never had that before in training or a race. Part of it was the steady decline and part was the side to side angle of the road was opposite what I'm used too.
I did the Higdon novice 1 training program. We tried to do a lot of down hill, but it's hard to run that much down hill in a safe area. I loved my training program but I probably would have tried to find more steep down hill places to train
Don't be discouraged! This race is worth the challenge!
Coffee. I'm from utah county
