    2. Describe your race day.

I enjoyed the course and had a fun time. Whished there were more portipoties at the first few of the half marathon aid stations. I noticed less lines and more of them later in the race. I would reverse that.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes by a little less than 4 minutes. No not close to Boston time.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Fun, downhill, a few steep sections but lots of fun. Great scenery

    5. Tell us about your training.

It was going well at the beginning. I was running three days a week with two cross training days. Then I hurt my knee and it did not go well for the last two months. I should have build my speed up a little slower.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

It is cold at the top, be prepared.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

      Live local so not much

One more thing is I was disappointed in the shirt. The fancy pattern is too much. Whish it was just a solid color with the logo, not the patterned material. A simple solid color shirt would be better.

    2. Describe your race day.

The finish line was great with all the different vendors and variety of snacks and drinks. The waiting for the race to start was not that pleasant of an experience. If possible I would suggest heat lamps or a camp fire (since the meeting area was in a campground) or at the very least a hot drink, i.e. coffee, tea, hot chocolate.

    3. Did you PR?

I did set a PR. I beat my previous time by 9 minutes and that was with doing a run/walk throughout the race. Was only doing the half marathon, not qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

    4. How would you describe the course?

The scenery was beautiful, elevation didn't bother me, but I'm a Utah native.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I did primarily downhill training, and because I had access to it, ran parts of the course at least once a week which really helped.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Do the drop bag in the morning before the race, it's worth it so you don't spend an hour freezing with nothing to keep you warm. Downhill training will save you for this race.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

From Utah, went and ate breakfast at Kneaders just West of the finish line.

    2. Describe your race day.

This was my first marathon. It was the culmination of months of preparation. As race day approached, I found myself more excited than I would have guessed. The race lived up to expectations. It was very well-run. It was very satisfying to run & to finish my first marathon.

    3. Did you PR?

This was my first marathon. So, yes, it was a PR. (But, as my daughter would say, it was also my worst-ever marathon time!)

    4. How would you describe the course?

This course is one where the majesty and beauty of God's creations are on full display. Breath-taking!

    5. Tell us about your training.

Six or eight months of training. I followed a program that incorporates "easy" mileage three days per week with a weekly speed run, a weekly tempo run and a weekly long run. Total weekly mileage during training: 40-45 miles per week.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Train at altitude, if possible. Run some miles every week or every other week at a downhill 4 or 5 percent grade. Make a training plan and stick with it.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I visited Temple Square. Two of my sons and one of my nephews and I visited Gilgal Garden and the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (where we watched some "Meet the Mormons" movie segments in the theater.
